The Thunderbolt Middle School Student Connection Club held a festive and heartwarming Winter Meeting, bringing together students for a joyful celebration of the season. It is Spirit Week!


The Thunderbolt Spelling Bee photos showcase a lively and competitive event, capturing participants focused and eager as they take turns spelling challenging words.

The Thunderbolt Middle School Winter Band Concert showcased the incredible talent and hard work of student musicians. The performance was a celebration of the season and the dedication of the students. Family and friends filled the Thunderbolt gym to enjoy an evening of vibrant music and community spirit!

Students at Thunderbolt Middle School are bringing the school spirit! Each door serves as a reflection of the homeroom students' unique ideas and abilities, as they worked collaboratively to design and decorate vibrant displays. The contest not only highlights the students’ artistic talents but also emphasizes their commitment to the qualities of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork, reinforcing the core values of the "Leader in Me" program. LHUSD Governing Board meeting tonight (12/10/24) at 6:00pm in the District Office Boardroom.

Thunderbolt NJHS and Student Council students attended a Leadership Luncheon with LHHS student leaders. During the event, they listened to Chad Nelson and Vice Mayor Cameron Moses share valuable insights and stories about leadership. Some students even took the opportunity to share their personal experiences and explain their reasons for joining leadership clubs. The lunch included a fun human knot activity and a cool photo booth for everyone to enjoy!











The Thunderbolt Chess Club brings together passionate players of all levels, fostering a dynamic and welcoming community where strategy, concentration, and camaraderie thrive. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, every game is a chance to learn, challenge yourself, and connect with fellow chess enthusiasts.



The Thunderbolt Middle School History Club is off to an exciting start as they dive into research for their National History Day presentations. With curiosity and determination, the students are exploring fascinating historical topics, preparing to showcase their knowledge and creativity in this competition. It’s a great opportunity to learn, collaborate, and celebrate the past!


We are excited to invite you to our Family Picnic on December 13th during your child’s scheduled lunch period. The cost is $5.00 per family member. Please note that prices for Thunderbolt students may vary depending on meal eligibility.
Enjoy freshly grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, served with all the classic fixings, along with a variety of fruits and vegetables!

The Thunderbolt Middle School Choir delivered a performance at their December 4th concert, showcasing their talent and holiday spirit. With harmonious voices and festive energy, the students filled the auditorium with beautiful melodies, creating a memorable evening for all in attendance. Their dedication and hard work made this a night to remember!






Students will be able to purchase Winter Grams before school 12/9 - 12/13 from 7:30AM - 7:50AM. They are a $1 each.

The Astronomy Club at Thunderbolt Middle School sparks curiosity and exploration as members journey through the wonders of the universe. From stargazing to learning about distant planets and galaxies, the club brings students together to share a passion for space and science. Through teamwork and discovery, they embrace the mysteries of the cosmos, igniting a love for astronomy that will reach beyond the classroom.
