For All Parents:

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a Federal law, requires that Lake Havasu Unified School District #1, with certain exceptions, obtain your written consent prior to the disclosure of personally identifiable information from your child's education records. However, LHUSD may disclose appropriately designated "directory information" without written consent, unless you have advised the District to the contrary in accordance with District procedures. More about directory information...

If you wish your child to be excluded from having his/her directory information released, please read, sign, and turn in to your school the Annual Student Directory opt-out form. (Note the form has three sections. The first deals with school related things like yearbooks and honor rolls. The second is about releasing information to U.S. military recruiting officials. The third is about public media.)
