High School English/Language Arts Textbook Adoption

Textbooks provide students quality contemporary and classical literary pieces with connections to historical information, so students may transfer knowledge and skills to other content areas.

Lake Havasu Unified School District is currently in the process of adopting new textbooks for English/Language Arts at the High School.

The last textbook adoption for high school English was in 2005.

  • Online access to this adopted textbook is now longer available.
  • The newly revised and adopted Arizona College and Career Ready Standards are not supported by the current textbook.

The vendors that accepted invitations to present to the committee are Pearson, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and McGraw Hill.

The textbook materials are on display in the district board room now until July 12. Contact Brad Gardner (928-505-6900) to schedule time to review or check out the materials.
