Staff Recognition Program

2023-2024 Nominations CLOSED

At LHUSD, we recognize the extraordinary contributions made by teachers and staff every day to improve the lives of students in Lake Havasu City. To honor their work, we invite community members, parents, colleagues, and students to nominate a teacher or staff member who they feel deserves this special recognition.

Each school site will form a school-based committee and determine a Teacher of the Year (TOY) based on the nominations. Of those teachers, one will be named the LHUSD Teacher of the Year. Additionally, a Rookie Teacher of the Year and Support Staff Member of the Year will be selected annually by nomination and determined by a district-based committee.

The online nomination phase was open December 13th, 2023 through January 31st, 2024.

The site-based Teachers of the Year will be announced in March.
