Renaissance
Renaissance is a nationally recognized program that encourages high achievement in academics, improved attendance and positive citizenship. Renaissance is a great way to get treats, have fun, win great prizes and get discounts at businesses in the community. Students may qualify each nine week To qualify you must have: v2.5 GPA or Better vNo office referrals vNo D’s or F’s vNo more than 4 days absent per quarter vNo more than 4 tardies, either to school or between classes per quarter

Student Council This all-school organization represents the student body. Student Council develops attitudes and practices of good citizenship, promotes harmonious relations throughout the entire school, and improves student-teacher relationships. Students learn the value of school morale and taking pride in the general welfare of the school. The organization helps to provide students with a forum for expression and leadership by example.
Student Council members now have a class period that serves as their meeting time--they all have 5th hour together. This allows the members to spend more time working together and also to have more time to interact with the other students at Daytona.
