Daytona Middle School

Acting on what district superintendent Gail Malay called "a difficult recommendation," the Lake Havasu Unified governing board voted in February to close Daytona Middle School at the end of the 2009-10 school year. The offices of Daytona will be closed starting June 1st. Daytona Middle School will be officially closed on July 1st, and will not re-open for the 2010-2011 school year.

For student records and/or to register a student for the 2010-11 school year:

• Lake Havasu Unified students going into the 6th grade this August will stay at their elementary schools.
• Lake Havasu Unified students going into 7th & 8th grade this August will attend Thunderbolt Middle School located at 695 Thunderbolt Ave. If you have questions, call Thunderbolt at 928-854-7224.
• Lake Havasu Unified students entering 9th grade this August will attend Lake Havasu High School located at 2675 S. Palo Verde Blvd. If you have questions, call the high school at 928-854-5001.

If you want to return a Daytona textbook or library book, please take it to Thunderbolt Middle School at 695 Thunderbolt Ave.

Daytona package and mail deliveries will be forwarded to Thunderbolt.
